Wolds x Hawkstone: A Proper Cotswold Pour

At Wolds, we’ve always wanted our drinks list to feel connected to where we are. So partnering with Hawkstone, one of the Cotswolds’ most recognisable drinks brands, felt like a natural fit.

Based here in the Cotswolds, Hawkstone has built its name around good ingredients, British farming and taking the time to make beer properly. Its story began with barley grown on Jeremy Clarkson’s Diddly Squat Farm, bringing farming and brewing together to create a distinctly British lager.

For us, the collaboration is about more than simply adding another beer to the bar.

Wolds is rooted in Moreton-in-Marsh, and we want our menus to reflect the character of the Cotswolds around us — relaxed, independent and focused on quality.

Hawkstone shares much of that philosophy. The brand champions British farming and has continued investing in British-grown ingredients, including a commitment announced in 2026 to move its brews towards 100% British hops by 2028.

More than just lager

You’ll now find a wider selection of Hawkstone at Wolds, giving you something a little different depending on what you’re in the mood for.

From the bold but balanced Hawkstone Premium Lager, through to Hawkstone Pils, IPA and Session, alongside Hawkstone Black, Hawkstone 0% and Hawkstone Dry Cider, the range has been chosen to work just as well with lunch or dinner as it does for a drink at the bar.

The Premium Lager itself combines a smooth body with light citrus notes, a crisp bitterness and a malty finish — exactly the sort of uncomplicated, well-made drink we like to serve.
